Ron McGeary is a professional cartoonist/caricaturist with 30 years experience in the newspaper industry, whose work has appeared in most British national newspapers and magazines including The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, and The Sunday Times Magazine.
He is Online News Editor for the Cartoonists' Club of Great Britain, of which he has been a member for many years.
He started drawing at a very young age, but all examples of his early works have been lost to posterity because his parents needed to redecorate the walls. He is a man of many parts: he trained to be a stuntman, is an ex-policeman, learned to fly a private plane, and practises Shotokan karate. He was a film and TV "supporting artiste" (extra to you and me!) for many years, plays Irish Uilleann pipes and speaks Hindi (but not at the same time!).
He looks forward to getting up in the morning because it gives him the rest of the day to himself.
